Two months ago, Bill Gates told everyone to donate to Shot@Life, a charity that delivers life-saving vaccines to some of the world's poorest people. So, I sent them $50.

Then, I get this in the mail. A plush toy that easily cost the charity $10 to get to my front door (the shipping alone is $8 US). This means that 20% of my donation was instantly transformed into useless kitsch instead of vaccines in the Third World.
This does not fill me with confidence that they are spending their donations wisely.
